In early 2020 prior to lockdowns, a cohort of members enjoyed a weekend coach trip to the regal spa town of Cheltenham. We took in the ornate architecture of the Promenade, enjoyed browsing the fashionable boutiques and art galleries, and wrapped up with a sumptuous afternoon tea service at historic Queen’s Hotel.
That evening, our group attended a performance of the biting satirical play Home, I’m Darling at the Everyman Theatre. Rave reviews of both the production and lead actress Katherine Parkinson were shared over drinks in the cozy hotel lounge after the show.
